Just my average life, full of nonsense and stories…

Sorry I have been away from my office desk for a while. I’ve been at meetings and random outings. But here we go, back on a routine!

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go.
Things go wrong so you can appreciate them
when they’re right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to
trust no one but yourself. And sometimes good
things fall apart so better things can fall
together.” – Marilyn Monroe

At no point in life are you going to make everybody happy, so do what you want, be who you want, and don’t let anybody tell you you’re wrong. Nobody’s perfect so maybe before you judge other people, you should first look at yourself. 🙂

I decided to put up a quote daily. Somewhat like food for thought. 🙂  It won’t always go with the mood I am in.  The quotes just have deep meaning to me and I absolutely LOVE searching for quotes that really speak to me. So here it goes!!!!

June 10, 2011: Love is a funny thing. It’s an intensely personal yet universal thing. It has a thousand definitions but not one of them gets it exactly right. It’s a feeling. It’s an experience. It’s inside of us yet it’s elusive. We desire it yet we fear it. It’s the central experience of our lives and yet it remains a mystery.  That’s love.

MTV Has Changed June 9, 2011

One of my favorite shows on MTV was “My Super Sweet Sixteen.” It was about a bunch of rich teenagers throwing the “best” party their city has ever seen and showcasing it to other teenagers who wish they could have that type of party…. They could if they had the money. Unfortunately, I was never able to have a huge party for my 16th birthday and that is why I loved watching that show. My family wasn’tt lucky enough to have tons and tons of money. (I did still have a great 16th birthday) BUT…… How did MTV go from the innocent “My Super Sweet Sixteen” to “Sixteen and Pregnant”?! The audience age has not changed but the shows and the maturity level of the shows have. I’m not saying that it isn’t a good show because for some reason I am drawn to them and think the stories are interesting. But maybe I am the only one thinking that…. Comments, answers? What do you think?

Favorite Childhood Story June 8, 2011

My mom used to read me tons of stories when I was younger. My favorite story, to this day is The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn. It’s about a mother raccoon and a baby raccoon and how much the mom loves the baby. My second favorite childhood book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. This book is about how a tree loved a little boy so much that she gave everything she had and was content with the boy taking everything because he appreciated her. What are your favorite childhood books?

“Dr. Creepy”

Here’s the background: “Dr. Creepy” is a guy who wears a lab coat around (he isn’t a doctor and he doesn’t work in the lab) and continually gets the cell phone numbers of multiple girls around the building. He got his nickname by texting everyone saying “Hello this is Doctor (enter name here) just making sure everything is going well!” Does everyone have a problem like this? Or is it just the dysfunctional part of our office?
